Seaview is a small Edwardian resort located on the north-eastern corner of the Isle of Wight, overlooking the Solent. The village is popular with tourists and is 2 ¹⁄₃ miles from the town of Ryde, where most tourists reach the island by ferry or hovercraft. Together with Nettlestone, it forms a civil parish of Nettlestone and Seaview.
The sand and shingle beach at Seaview gently slopes into the sheltered waters of the Solent making it a popular spot for sailing and watersports. A footpath runs along the back of the beach which makes for a pleasant walk. Photo credit: Sophia Brading
As the tide comes in the Seaview beach all but disappears but there are still plenty of spots to sit and enjoy the view.
