Updated: Apr 7, 2020

The Brading Roman Villa is situated overlooking Sandown Bay on the Isle of Wight.

Brading Roman Villa is one of the finest Roman sites in the UK. Its award winning Visitor Centre and Museum offer unique and interesting insights into what Roman life was in Britain from beautifully preserved mosaic floors to an extensive collection of Roman archaeology.

The museum preserves the West Range, built around AD300, which is the last and grandest of three buildings on the site.

Roman mythologies were often based on the traditional stories of Rome’s origins and religious system. Often believed as fact, even when they had supernatural elements, many stories included moral and political issues, and you can discover more enticing information like this by visiting the fascinating, historic Brading roman villa.
